Tun Musa Hitam (of the Kurang ajar fame, in his latest said, Umno has lost its popularity.
Can't argue and can't resist agreeing with him when he said further, "He also claimed that Umno was “too introverted” by focusing on its own problems and looking for acceptance among its own members, but not the rakyat, whose perceptions would determine its future."
Let's see whether the rakyat can accept names like :-
Faisal, Mie Nandeq, Rahim Abas, Hamid Mandela, Wan Adnan, Arab, Tajuddin, Manan, Soohaimi, Mail Mutalib, Munawar, Manap Ayam, Bakar @ Zamri, Hambali, Hassan, Johari, Siti Zaharah, Mus Yassin, Mat Jidi, Mat Wok, Khairuddin, Zaini, Asraf, Saha Moin, Aziz Kiram, Azinuddin, Mohidin, Din Belacan, Dollah Bakar, Mustafa Kamal, Johar, Hj Zul, Shahrom, Rahman, Jimi, Mustapa Long, Wan Mizan, Shukri, Zizan, Tengku Lan, Wok, Tini, Mat Jaafar, Wan Salman, Mail Said, Abang Zahar, Fattah, Omar, Rosni, Noorol, Fathil, Burn, Cikgu Brahim, Cikgu Din, Cikgu Zali, Suhaimi Mat Sah, Wahid, Jalot, Malik, etc etc etc...
How about :-
Najib, Adnan Yaakob, JJ, Tan Aminuddin, Soffi, Sharkar, Sahfri, Shafik, Wan Adnan, Ishak Mohd, Wan Rosdy, Saifuddin, Maznah, Mail Sabri, Shahaniza etc etc etc.
At one time, there was so much hatred on one particular leader but the love for UMNO and BN was really deep. Now the hatred for the leaders come together with the hatred for UMNO and BN?
But come to think about it, those on the opposite side are none the better! Let's see if the rakyat can accept :-
Tuan Brahim Tuan Man, Fuziah Salleh, Azan, Syed Hamid, Syed Mat Beserah, Tengku Puji, Nizam, Suhaimi Said , Fauzi Rahman and can't think of anyone else with any substance at all!
Taking Musa Hitam literally, where are we heading to? How do we get the rakyat to accept UMNO? How to win their hearts and minds? Let's get on with the UMNO matters ASAP (March 2009 is too long?) and henceforth get down to see the rakyat? That too, if the rakyat can accept you!

Making Ku Li or Muhyiddin (compromise choice) as PM would be a start...As the rakyat forget about the top leadership...ie Pak Lah and his acquiescing deputy Najib.
ReplyDeleteAnd stop waving those kerises around man!
Adawajah,
ReplyDeleteWill write on the Bar Council soon. Just wait bro...
Jed,
Ku Li or Muhyiddin, we will still blog, don't you? hehehehe
About the keris thing, they must understand it was just a ceremonial kissing not really waving! Just like the Agong kissing the keris during instalation. Don't think the keris is deadly as before, as we have submarine and new helicopter coming. The keris will remain thing for ceremonial purposes. I have a collection of about 300 of them!
Cheers Jed...and happy deepavali
