Saya membaca laporan Malaysian Insider yang mana Tan Sri Bernard Dompok mengatakan:- "A senior Christian member of the Cabinet, Tan Sri Bernard Dompok, said Sabah adherents call God “Allah” because the younger generation are more comfortable using Bahasa Malaysia as Muslims remain outraged over a ruling that allows Catholic weekly Herald to use the term. He also noted the term had been used for a long time, even before Sabah decided to form Malaysia with Malaya, Sarawak and Singapore in 1963.“The Sabah communities have always used Bahasa Melayu as it is the regional lingua franca and Christianity has been in Sabah since 1881,” Seterusnya beliau juga berkata:- "He noted that the Christian Bumiputra community in Sabah, like the Murut and Kadazandusun, perform religious rites in three languages – English, Bahasa Melayu and their mother tongue. “In the rites where English is used, the term is God while the rites in Bahasa Melayu is Allah and the one in the mother tongue,

Got hold of this Israel newspaper  and it tells the real reason for the usage of Allah by Herald! The Catholic Church, which publishes a Malay version of its newspaper, The Herald, says that it uses the word "Allah" for the Christian God to meet the needs of its Malay speaking worshippers on the island of Borneo. What they want was to "meet the needs of its Malay speaking worshippers" and it have nothing to do with Allah being their God! They have succeeded in Sabah and Sarawak and they now want to spread their wings to the Malay speaking and Malay reading Malaysians in Peninsular Malaysia. The Court must now take public cognizance that if "Allah" is allowed to be used by the Catholic Christians, there can be chaos and there are reasons to believe that public security can be threatened!

Apabila Hakim Dato' Lau Bee Lan memutuskan bahawa Majalah Herald gereja Catholic dibenarkan menggunakan perkataan "Allah" dalam penerbitan mereka, tiba-tiba isu ini menjadi gempar! Rakyat Malaysia berugama Islam mula menzahirkan kemarahan. Ahli politik bertelagah sesama mereka. Ada juga yang kononnya pejuang Islam melalui parti Pas yang bersetuju malah mempertahankan keputusan Mahkamah itu sebagai tepat dan tiada sebarang masalah. Saya telah menulis mengenai isu ini pada bulan 27hb Februari 2009 lagi, apabila KDN pada asalnya membenarkan penggunaan perkataan Allah oleh Herald. Lihatlah posting saya itu disini ! KENAPA KDN PADA ASALNYA MEMBENARKAN? Kalau pada asalnya dibenarkan dimanakah hujah mengatakan bahawa penggunaan perkataan Allah oleh Kristian itu akan menimbulkan huruhara dan mengancam keselamatan negara?
