Anwar bringing in USD 1 trillion
Today Pakatan Rakyat leaders have submitted a letter to the Prime Minister requesting him to call an emergency session of Parliament to deliberate a motion of censure against the leadership of YAB Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi no later than Tuesday 23 September 2008.
This is in accordance with Order 11(3) of the Standing Orders of Parliament and warrants an immediate response given the gravity of today’s political impasse. A delay in his response would be interpreted as nothing short of a further sabotage of the democratic process and abuse of Executive Power.
The Prime Minister’s haggling on the syntax of our first letter is puerile at best. The intent of our meeting as described in that letter was clearly to discuss the future course of the nation’s leadership – though in deference to his position and in accordance with acceptable norms we remain considerate and polite in our approach.
I find the Prime Minister’s comment about me in his press conference yesterday to be reckless and irresponsible in light of the disastrous outcome of last Friday’s ISA raids.
He has conflated what is essentially an issue of democracy, freedom and the rule of law with national security. The use of the ISA to harass and detain duly elected political opponents is a grave transgression of the law and its continued use would further erode confidence in the current government and exacerbate political instability.
As the incumbent Prime Minister actively holding office and exercising all Executive powers, and as the outgoing Finance Minister, we hold him fully accountable for the current political turmoil and mismanagement of the nation’s economy. His accusation that I have had an adverse impact on the nation’s economy is entirely without basis.
I have met with the key fund managers in the region, representing over USD 1 trillion in assets, and on multiple occasions they were unanimously in support of comprehensive reforms in Malaysia including judicial independence, a free media, a more professional police force and anti-corruption agency, investor friendly laws and assurances on the non-interference of politicians in the governance of Bank Negara. These are policies Pakatan Rakyat has promised to implement– and initiatives that the current administration has done virtually nothing to advance since March 8th.

For Dummies Series Part 2
Takkan lah kita hendak tunggu apa keputusan semua ahli keluarga dulu!

Matthias Chang The Great
Our friendship became closer sometime in the year 2001 when Matthias was made the Political Secretary to the Prime Minister then, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed. Matthias created history by being the first Chinese Political Secretary to the Prime Minister. I was Political Secretary to the Chief Minister of Pahang since 1999. Matthias was made a Political Secretary without being a member of any political party, something which he is so proud of. Tun Mahathir has created Matthias to be the most loyal political prodigy. Matthias is very knowledgeable and if there is poll to determine the best political secretaries of all time, Matthias will definitely come out top, if not the best or at least the most colourful!
In 2001, during the MCA Team A & Team B crisis. Matthias, Dato’ Johari Baharom and me did an assignment together and had dealings with Tan Sri Lim Ah Lek, Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy, Dato’ Liow Tiong Lai, Dato’ Ong Tee Keat, Dato’ Chua Jui Meng, Dato’ Yap Pian Hon, Dato’ Fu Ah Kiow, Loh Seng Kok (Ex MP/ Ex PolSec) and Datin Paduka Tan Yee Kew (now with PKR). These people will be able to vouch on the way Matthias communicated with other people. He is a tough guy and will fight for whatever thing he feel he is right, even when he is alone! He will never easily admit defeat. Matthias argues with arrogance and at times no tact at all. Dato’ Azalina can also tell us what kind of a person Matthias is, as we were also involved in helping her to get Puteri UMNO started.
I am very sure all will say Matthias is a great man. His loyalty to the man who hires him is without question. He is willing to die fighting for the rights of the wronged! Everything needs to be done before the day ends. That’s Matthias motto and work ethics.
But…Matthias lacks sense of humour! Serious…he is not the type to laugh at things. He will not know when you joke with him or when you are just pulling his legs!
Recently, he was so happy that Tun M would be supporting Tengku Li for his quest to be the President of UMNO. Matthias sent sms to Johari Baharom and me. Johari called me to inquire if I had received any sms from Matthias of which I answered yes. Both of us agreed that we will provoke Matthias by disagreeing to whatever he wrote in the sms. Johari will reply the sms “attacking Tun M” and me “attacking Ku Li”. Whatever Matthias replied to us will be forwarded to the one another. Matthias is easily provoked and naturally would accused both of us by using his favourite words like “asshole, f_ck you, bastards, buggers, motherf_ckers, idiots and the like”. Both Johari and I are so use to that. We don’t take heart at all. We just laughed over the phone about how mad Matthias had been.
Without even thinking about the sms and the telephone calls, Johari and I were so surprised to stumble across our names in Matthias website. He quoted what we wrote in the sms thinking that we are dead serious. If we visit Matthias’ website at DATO JOHARI BAHAROM RATTLED BY NEWS OF TUN DR. MAHATHIR MOHAMAD'S SUPPORT FOR TENGKU RAZALEIGH IN HIS BID TO BE PRESIDENT OF UMNO - By Matthias Chang, we can roughly sizes up Matthias. His website is decorated with skulls and fierce colours. Just like Matthias in real live. If you have a weak heart, my advice is, do exercise extra care. You will not be wrong if you think you are in a war zone.
Matthias oh Matthias… don’t be too serious lah brader! Johari and I had planned over the phone to play a joke on you…
Both Johari and I are just as happy as you are that Tun M is rejoining UMNO. Nevertheless, to agree or otherwise with Tun M’s choice of President of UMNO, is entirely up to us. Tun M can be wrong too, right? It is okay for Tun M to support Ku Li. Neither Johari nor I were rattled by Tun M’s support for Ku Li. We will be so if Tun M supports AnWar Ibrahim re the 916 take over of the government! Thank God, he is not doing that, is he?
Matthias, Malaysia is a free country and didn’t we agree to disagree?
Cheers Brader… God willing, we pray that you will relax and accept that live cannot be that serious and uptight! An angry man is a hungry man and surely you are not fasting, are you?

How to Become the Prime Minister - For Dummies
1. Join a Political Party and bluff your way through to be its Leader,
2. Be a candidate in an Election under the Party’s ticket or a Coalition of Parties,
3. Win the election with a majority, even if it is by one vote,
4. Ensure that your political party’s candidates win the majority of the seats in Parliament,
5. Get your Party to nominate you for the post of Prime Minister,
6. If your Party holds the majority of seats in Parliament, seek an audience with the Agong to appoint you as the Prime Minister,
7. Get the consent of the Agong for you to be sworn-in as the Prime Minister,
8. You are now the Prime Minister.
That’s the simple straight forward way.
If your Political Party did not have the majority in Parliament, forget about being the Prime Minister until you try your luck in the next election which is normally held within a period of five years known as a Term.
FAQs,
1. Can you topple the present Prime Minister by way of getting the opposite Party Members to join your Party i.e. by party hopping?
Constitutionally, it cannot be done. But for purpose of political scheming, which is, immoral, you may try. Some might buy your ploy; some might call you mad!
2. Even if you get the opposite members of Parliament to jump or cross over to your Party, can you take over the post of Prime Minister?
This process is known as ‘froging” which is immoral and if it involved baits of money or positions, is corruption of the highest order. Which ever way, the present Prime Minister is still holding office as appointment of Prime Minister is by the Agong and not by Parliament. Prime Minister is not a class monitor in primary school where the teacher can appoint whoever the teacher like.
3. Can a Vote of No Confidence force the Prime Minister to resign?
You can try.But you have to remember that you have to lodge the Motion for Vote of No Confidence with the Speaker of Parliament or a least you have to give notice to the Speaker.
The Prime Minister would then have sufficient notice or at least knowledge of your intention. He can decide or opt for two options opened to him. He can face you in Parliament and ward off the Vote of No Confidence. He can also seek an audience with the Agong and advise the Agong to dissolve the Parliament to pave way for a snap election.
If another election is being held, the steps stated above will be repeated.
You might not be the Prime Minister at all. And there is no such thing as becoming a Prime Minister on 916.
It’s nice to dream! Dreaming is free of charge.

UMNO is sick at age of 21?
May I ask, recover from what? From sickness or from defeat? UMNO was not defeated during the last General Election. All in all UMNO have 79 Members in Parliament i.e the single largest party out of which 66 are from Peninsula Malaysia. UMNO have more MPs than PAS or PKR or DAP.
Earlier I wrote about life span. The life span of UMNO. UMNO was born on the 11th day of May 1946. That first UMNO had died in 1987 by way of a Court Order. Tun Mahathir, being a doctor, had revived UMNO (medically I supposed) and UMNO Baru was cloned in 1987. That be the situation, the new UMNO is only 21 years of age now.
The first UMNO died at the age of 41 (1946-1987) and the new UMNO is sick at the age of 21? Is the new UMNO dying at 21?
What can we do to ensure the sickness be cured and UMNO continue to survive another 50 years of the life expectancy of Malaysian at 70.05 years?
Sakmongkol diagnosed UMNO's sickness as cancerous and its terminal. Where do we begin the curing process? Should we go see a Bomoh or stick to the modern medicine or go to a Chinese Sinseh?
If we go the Bomoh, his first reaction will be...."Ini buatan orang! Ada orang dengki kat awak!" The bomoh will ask further..."Ada orang musuh dengan awak ke? Kat pejabat ada musuh ke?" You will answer a straight NO. But the Bomoh will continue by saying.."Ada orang nak kat jawatan awak ni. Itu sebab dia bagi awak santau angin. Awak ni kena santau angin je. Saya boleh buangkan santau angin. Pengerasnya.........."
It all boils down to "pengeras"! and eventually its the Power of the BU & DU again.
If we go the Chinese sinseh, the first thing he will offer you Chinese tea in small cups which he said came directly from China. He will hold you hands and check your heartbeat and pulse. He then scribbled in Chinese characters and command you to purchase the Chinese herbs he prescribed at a Chinese Medicine shop he recommends thereto. He don't care if you are cured at the end of the day or you die taking the fake medicines. As long as they can stay in this country and make money out of whatever source, they don't give a hoot. Their loyalty and love remains with the person who can afford their most expensive medicine. It boils down to the equation of "the greener pasture"
Yet again we shall settle with getting treatment the modern way. Do all the scans and MRIs. Do all the blood test and the necessary screenings. If its really cancer, cut it, amputate it or whatever. Thereafter go for chemotherapy or whatever. Its not the body parts that matter. Its the life that is most precious. Some body parts can reproduce, some need prosthetics. Its alright, we should survive a few more years.
Don't forget to pray hard. Pray for a miracle from God!
